Do you think this would be a good upgrade from my holley 2 bbl 300 cfm carb?

600 cfm too much? not a reliable carb? Just ran across it on C.L.

EDELBROCK Chevy Carb

Thanks, Bushman

a 600 CFM vacuum secondary carb will work, but a 470 CFM would be better.

Thanks for the link- it looks like the 470 would be the way to go but the chances of finding a used truck avenger around here that I can afford- if at all- are pretty slim. do you think the Edelbrock 1404 500 cfm would still be too much? I may have better luck finding one of those.

thanks - Bush

IMHO 500 CFM would be fine.
I've been running Holleys since I started out, I don't have anything against the Carter AFB/ Edlebrock performer. I just don't have any experence.
