Well i saw that you posted a website to Rocky Road, i was originally going to buy my SOA lift from then but then 2Lostinspace told me to check the reviews, SO I HIGHLY recommend you read this Rocky Road Outfitters Reviews - JeepReviews.com. It is going to drastically change your opinion, I personally would go with Rusty Off Road, or Telico 4x4 but avoid ROCKY ROAD! |

so is there any other company that makes an early cj to yj bolt on conversion kit?
i havent really searched much - but they were the only one that i found...

not that i dont appreciate the info - but neither of those methods are bolt on and both require welding and custom fabrication
for whatever reason - rocky road is the only bolt on kit i can find...

I can find you a SOA kit that i was looking at myself that is bolt on for 549 which is the bare minimum you would have to buy shocks, extended steel brake lines, drop pitman arm,transfercase drop, and most likely a cv drive shaft i could be forgetting a few more things. |

you have a 77, i have a 73... to my knowledge there is a difference in what's going to work...

The reason is, the only right way to do it is to WELD the perches on.
It's really not that big a job for a shop to do, if you can't do it yourself.

If i do mine SOA im just going have my neighbor teach me to weld and help me along with mine but im still debating the 4 inch SUA with a 1 inch body and get a total of 5 inches but here is a SOA kit i found for a decent price Rubicon Express Jeep CJ Extreme-Duty Jeep Lift Kit Components |

i see what you guys mean by doing it yourself / i read all night and talked to the guys over on various other forums...
the welding is really minimal and the do it yourself parts end up being about the same price
im still going with old man emu shocks and springs - ill source stock hangers and pads and ubolts etc...
