Is it possible for me to move a thread I started if I realized I placed it in the wrong section? Do I have to delete it and start over?

No, you can't move a thread. Only moderators or CJ can move a thread. What thread, I can move it for you.

I was thinking of moving "Craigslist is Great" to Misc CJ Discussion. It is currently in Sand Dirt and Mud. I posted it in the wrong place. I tried to delete it and start over, but it wouldn't let me. Thanks for your help.

I tried to change the title from New Leaf Springs-Superlift, to Craigslist is great.

That thread has been moved to the Misc CJ discussion. I can change the title if you want me too, but I think it's okay the way it is

Thanks for moving that for me. The title is fine, I just tried to change it before to fit the other forum better.

Any mod can move a thread, easiest way to get a thread moved is to use the 'Report Post' button - - ask to move the thread and why, this will send an alert for all mods.
