This site has an affiliate program setup with 4wd where the site receives 4% of all sales when they are directed to 4wd by the banner on the front page.
The banner is turned off for registered members. If I create a page that list advertisers (we really don't have any) - well lets say links to advertisers that we can receive a commission on - would any of you use that page to purchase products?
Here is a partial list -
4wd
4 Wheel Parts
Cars.com
AutoParts Giant
JC Whitney
AutoParts Warehouse
TireRack
Just wondering what you all think?

Yes, and you should do it ASAP. Easily available links to sellers would be a benefit to everyone IMO. Example, a question is asked about...what do I need to do....Answers come in, and withought leaving, you could source the parts on the spot. Good for everyone.

I would use anything that makes it easier to use/maintain the site.
Personally, I forget we can get a commission for the site when ordering stuff, so if you made it more prominent, I would be more apt to use it...Of course probably the only one I would actually use is 4WD

Thanks guys... Now another question. What about a small rotating banner of the affiliates in the upper right corner above the seach box that shows all the images?
I will develop a page that has them also.

Sounds good, plus It would get your attention. Would this be aside from a point and click list of "potential" sponcer/ advertizers??

Yes, if you log out of the site and look above the search box in the top right you'll see some google ads. I would substitute the commission ads there and have them rotate.

sounds like a good place for them...unobtrusive (Didn't think I could spell that one, did ya?!) and yet easy to find when you wanna.

What about getting some sponsors for the site?
Some sponsors give a discount for members of some sites
On PSN we have quite a few sponsors that do this!
Just a thought
ON edit: they also help out with the site
