Thought about another Volkswagen beetle bug build ie "Baja Bug", but finding a reasonable shape and price project is lunacy, they want as much as a decent musclecar project, some are selling complete motors for what i could buy a turn key stand alone LS Chevy motor setup, they are more fanatical purist than Jeep owners, dare I say it...they've got bugs for brains.

Wanted one of these badly when I lived in Az some 30 years ago. I was still too attached to my Z28 at the time. Left for Pa not too long after. Sold the Z28 and ended up with my first Jeep soon after.

You think the bugs are pricey try the vans. My daughter had a short love affair with them till she got the sticker shock. The more windows the higher the price it seems. Almost like condition doesnt matter. Cj8s are starting to skyrocket as well. I was a fool for selling mine.
