Misc. Gearbox, V8 conversion guys

Jeep will have the sbc 350 with it's corresponding power steering pump, ok to use Jeep steering gear box and find lines to fit, or just use the Chevy Gear Box, and if so what pitman to link mod needed or parts change? Thanks.

Jeeps and Chevys both use a Saginaw gear box. They are interchangeable. Many times I have taken a variable quick ratio GM box and put it in a CJ. Some times you have to make hoses though.

I guess I should also mentioned using a YJ frame, seems to have more room as well.

I also have an SBC 350 with a serpentine belt kit that included the power steering pump and kept the existing CJ gearbox. For hoses, I used the following:

Precision #13401735 (pressure side)
Gates #365767 (return side)

I have a CJ gearbox, but not sure of it's condition, got it in parts swaps, might end up seeing if i can get the Chevy's to work, thanks for the lines info if I go with the CJ parts, I think I even have a CJ power steering pump I'm not using

In fact , I have a slew of parts I'm not using, gotta take inventory and list them, CJ, YJ, and TJ parts, even 4.2L mechanical fuel pumps-new

There's a dodge gearbox that's a little heavier and bolts right up. I believe a Durango but not sure. There's some write ups on the web about it.
