Hello Jeepers,

Curious if anyone has some insights to an issue I'm having with a transmission mount. 1981 CJ7, AMC 258 motor, Borg-Warner SR4 transmission, Dana 300 transfer case. I installed the motor last night and mated it to the bell housing and it really took some finagling to get things to line up and eventually secure all the motor mounts, etc. I've been having issues with the skid plate aligning with the frame holes, probably since the dimensions all change a bit under weight/load. Got the skid plate back on, but had t undo the transmission mount to do so. Now when I try to attach the mount, the torque pin aligns fine, but the actual transmission mount holes look like this:

This the arrangement:

Aftermarket motor and mounts, but the block is a Jeep 258, mounts from M.O.R.E.
The transmission mount is also aftermarket from M.O.R.E.

Any advice, opinions or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Same issue here. I had to leave the PS motor mount loose to the block and manipulate the crossmember to get the hardware started
